Configure some hidden SkyMACMate settings Apps
When I upgraded to the latest version of SkyMACMate for my USB Skype adaptor, I found that it now had Skype as the default dialing mode, and there were still no preferences. It is rather lacking when compared to SkypeMate, which is the Windows version. But hidden inside the application is a config file named Custom.ini. You can find it by control-clicking on SkyMACMate and selecting Show Package Contents, and then navigating into Contents -> MacOS.

Using a text editor, I was able to set it to line dialing as default. There are also other settings available, such as:
  • bBoxDefaultPSTN = 0 for USB, 1 for Line
  • bDialPopupSkype = 1 to make Skype come to front during a call
  • iBoxOutputCIDType = Caller ID mode, not sure on values
  • bRefusePSTNWhenSkypeTalking = 1 to set the line Busy when making a skype call, 0 if other phones are connected before the skype box
There are others in there as well, but I didn't try them.
