Fix broken podcast downloads in iTunes 7.01 Apps
When I subscribed to a new podcast in iTunes 7.01, it started downloading the latest episode. I paused this download and deleted it from the download list. When I tried to download the same podcast again, I got an error 416.

I looked in my iTunes folder (typically /username/Music/iTunes), and I found the folder /username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Downloads/Podcasts. This had lots of folders with the extension .tmp. I deleted the folder with the same name as the podcast I had trouble downloading, and now I can download again.

[kirkmc adds: Even though iTunes 7.02 is already out, this hint may still be useful. Lots of people seem to be having difficulties with podcasts since iTunes 7 was released, and I've seen a handful of temporary files floating around from time to time in my iTunes folder, or in my iTunes Music folder.]

Different issue; any ideas?

The most frustrating thing I'm finding with my podcast subscriptions since updating to 7.x, is that iTunes has stopped putting a lot of my 'casts into their individual folders within my Podcast directory.

The weird thing is that it's not consistent, as it isn't happening with *all* my podcasts, but almost all of them. It just dumps them in the top-level "Podcasts" directory, and I have to manually move them to the folders where the older ones reside.

Anyone else experiencing this? And more importantly, have you found a fix? I've tried unsubscribing/resubscribing, but that didn't seem to help. I know I could try completely unsubbing and deleting the existing directory for that 'cast, but I save a lot of them, so I don't want to have to do that!

Frustrating though...

Same thing, but only for VIDEO podcasts. All of my audio podcasts are still in subdirs. These aren't new video podcast subscriptions either - I've been subscribing to Tiki Bar TV and Channel Frederator almost since they came out!
