Open link from one window into a tab of a different window Web Browsers
I'm not sure how useful this is, but I just discovered that if you have more than one Safari window open and, if you hold down the Command key and click on a link in a background window, the link opens in a tab in the frontmost window.

This is an interesting twist on the Command-click to open link in a new tab shortcut in Safari.

If the status bar is visible, you can see all of the different actions available when clicking a link with any combination of a click, command, and option keys. Just hover over the link, then hold down the the modifer keys.

Open link from one window into a tab of a different window

I think this is actually a bug, because many times I'll option-click a link in the front window to open it in a new window, but if there is already another window that's still loading (slow server or whatever) the link will replace what was still loading in that window, rather than opening a new window. I know the hint is totally different, but I feel there are just a few bugs in the way Safari chooses the window to open links into.

I would also say that this is a bug. When I'm command-clicking inactive windows, I expect to be able to use that window as if it were the active window without affecting anything in the actually active window.

A bug

I also consider it a bug, since Command is a modifier firstly used for referring to another window/application (not in the front) and shouldn't be used then, should it be dropped, when already clicking in the other window/application.

If I understand this issue, then this is how I rely on that feature:
I have a Safari bookmarks folder with links I visit daily. I select "Open in Tabs" and Safari opens 20 bookmarks right away in a large/ active window. Cool. When I am not using my computer I log into my roaming bookmarks at http://bookmarks.mac.com (in a large window). A new small window appears, in front, with all of my bookmarks including my daily bookmarks folder. I bring the large window to the front/ make it active. Then I rapidly command-click on my daily twenty bookmarks in small (bookmarks.mac.com) window. All the links load in the large front window and I'm... ready to read macosxhints.com n' stuff. I really like that.
