After relocating masters to a CD or DVD in Apple's Aperture application, all the references appear broken. This happens because the library references the temporary disk image that the Finder created, instead of the removable media.
To fix this, select the files that have broken references and go to File -> Manage Referenced Files. Use the top half of the window to select all the images, and locate one of them using the browser in the bottom half of the window. Click on Reconnect All and the references will be repaired. If you need more detailed help, it's available in this post on my Aperture pages.
