In Firefox, I found a way to sort bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu, not just in the Bookmark Manager. In order to find a bookmark, I right-clicked in Firefox's bookmarks manager, and sorted by name. Unfortunately, once I did this, the bookmarks appeared in alphabetical order when I clicked on the Bookmarks menu. I like my bookmarks to be in ordered chronologically.
To get it back to the "last added" order, choose Manage Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu. Under View, choose Sorted by Added. Create a new folder, and drag the bookmarks into it. Now, choose Unsorted, drag the bookmarks back out the folder, and they will now appear in the order they were placed in when you sorted them.
What is nice is that you can sort the bookmarks any way you want, drag them to a new folder, unsort, drag them out, and they will appear in that order when you pop down the Bookmarks menu in the browser.
