See current folder as favicon in Safari URL bar Web Browsers
Just a nice little touch I've just noticed in Safari: if you type file:/ in the location bar, you'll see the favicon change to show the icon of the folder or file you type in. So file:/Applications shows the Applications folder's icon, file:/Applications/Safari.app shows the Safari icon, etc.

This also happens as you type -- very nice!

And, if you do this with whatever your downloads folder is (or any other folder you want to go to often), then drag it into the Bookmark Bar, a click will open that folder. Too bad it doesn't work for apps - it only shows them in the Finder...
