Make the HTTPMail Mail plug-in work after upgrades Apps
If your HTTPMail plug-in for Mail stops working properly after a system or Mail.app upgrade, this hint may get things working again.
  1. Quit Mail.app.
  2. Locate a file called person.djlp.mail.plist in your user's Library/Preferences folder.
  3. Make a backup copy of that file, then open the original with TextEdit.
  4. The info for each Mail.app account (excluding .Mac) is shown between two headings. Delete the block of text, including the headings, that relates to Hotmail and save the file.
  5. Open Mail and create an httpmail account as per the plug-in's documentation. Mail.app should now start importing your Hotmail.
Note that if Hotmail is your only mail account, it may be easier to just delete the person.djlp.mail.plist file and then go to the last step above, though I've not tried this myself.
