I have Unsanity's WindowShade X app set to make a window transparent when you double-click on the title bar. I've found that if you click with the right and left mouse buttons at the same time, Window Shade X sees that as a double-click, and makes the window transparent. Not much of a time saver, but just interesting.

Quick double-click trick for Windowshade X
Heh! I never knew about that. It ain't much, but it's kinda cool anyway. Saves a click here and there.

I use that setting too, + I find with my multi-button trackball (Kensington TurboBall), clicking both simultaneously does not work but one quickly following the other does (either order!). So in this case it's just as easy, perhaps easier to double click, since in effect I'm double clicking anyway.

I'm certain this is a feature of the OS X GUI, rather than Unsanity's handywork. I don't run Windowshade, and the left-right click combo works for me. (I love Fruitmenu though!) All the same, I didn't know this shortcut for minimising to the Dock, so thanks!

DUH! Sorry, just noticed that you said it makes your window transparent and I know Windowshade DOES do this...gotta stop being so trigger happy...

Left-right click at the same time is standard on *nix systems for middle-clicking when you only have two buttons on your mouse. |
