Work directly with camera storage cards in iPhoto

In iPhoto 6.0.4, when you attach a digital camera and see the import screen, press the Return key on your keyboard twice in succession. iPhoto will switch to editing mode, showing all pictures that reside on the digital camera. You cannot make changes to the pictures, nor can you drag the pictures individually to your iPhoto library, but you can see everything on the camera.

[robg adds: Wow. Not only did this work, but with my camera at least (Canon PowerShot SD400), I was able to drag individual photos from the top portion of the Editing window into my Library. The only issue I had was that the date on the roll containing the dragged photos was incorrect (it came out as 12/31/00), but this is easily changed. I'm not sure if the drag-and-import capability varies by camera or not; please post the results of your efforts, including the camera model, and we'll get a sense for how widespread this may be.]
