A while back I noticed lengthening queue times to print. Once you are in the printer list, double click the printer name to bring up the jobs window. I clicked on the completed tab and saw a years worth of print jobs listed. After deleting them (looking under the JOBS menu for 'clear completed jobs list') time to print shortened.

I had no idea this "completed jobs" list was building up the way it was!

There must be some automatic cleaning of this list going on. I checked some printers which I know I've used in the past (a very long time ago), and their "completed jobs" panes were empty. But others, which I use more frequently, contained loads of old jobs.

Can anyone confirm that there's a performance hit when these "completed jobs" start to add up? And/or if there's a way of automating the clearing of these lists?

So, when will CUPS 1.2 come to the Mac. (Do we have to wait for Apple or is there a self-help way?)
