Another Address Book phone dialer plug-in Apps
Using dial tones saved as MP3 files in an iTunes playlist called Phone, in conjunction with this AppleScript Address Book plug-in, you can dial a phone number in your Address Book by clicking the associated tab and the choosing the Dial via iTunes plugin. It displays a dialog. At this point, hold your phone to the computer's speaker and click "OK." This is admittedly a variation on a theme, and as such I've tried to give credit in the AppleScript source (including a link for the MP3 tones). However, there is more than one way to script a solution, and this works for me.

[robg adds: I haven't tested this one, other than making sure the script compiles. To use it, create a folder named Address Book Plug-Ins in either the top-level Library folder, or your user's Library folder. Save the script in the new folder, and then launch Address Book. You should see the script available as an option when you click on the Phone label for a given contact. This previous hint, referenced in the code, provides another solution.]
