How to get Now Up-To-Date calendars onto phones

I followed some advice from this hint to sync my Motorola v710 phone. I use Now Up-To-Date, and wanted to sync the calendar file to my v710 (CDMA) and v551 (GSM) Motorola phones. The latest version of Now Up-to-Date (v5.2) allows syncing only to Palm devices, and moreover, does not allow exporting the calendar in any formats that can be read by iCal.
So here's the workaround I used, which makes use of the free Palm Desktop (v. 4.2):
- Export your calendar as a text file from Now Up-To-Date with Export Template 'Calendar Archive' and the following settings:
- Item 1: Date
- Item 2: Start Time
- Item 3: End time
- Item 4: Title
- Items 5-10: "None"
- Import your calendar into Palm Desktop v. 4.2 with these settings:
- Fields: Now-Up-To-Date
- Delimeters: Tab & Return
- Export your calendar from Palm Desktop in vCal format.
- Use iSync to upload the calendar to the Motorola phones.
It's a bit of work, but at least I now have calendars on my phones.
