Run Aperture 1.1 on 12" PowerBook

If you had Aperture running on a 12" PowerBook using one of the methods available (such as this hint), and you upgraded to 1.1, then you must have noticed that Aperture stopped working, complaining about graphics card incompatibility. If you resolved that problem, perhaps using this method, then you run across another problem: Aperture now says that it requires computers with screens greater than 1280x864.
This should solve the problem in Aperture 1.1:

1. I'm assuming that you have Aperture 1.0 installed.
2. Upgrade Aperture to version 1.1 using Software Update.
3. Make a backup copy of Aperture.
4. Open Aperture.app/Contents/MacOS/Aperture in a hex editor.
5. Edit the following offsets: (format is offset: original –> hacked)
0×93b8: 40 9E 00 88 -> 48 00 00 88
0×9454: 40 9E 00 88 -> 48 00 00 88
0×94f0: 40 9E 00 E0 -> 48 00 00 E0

6. Save the file and run Aperture.

I first wrote up this method here; some of the comments to this article might be useful.

[kirkmc adds: I haven't tested this; I don't use Aperture, and don't have a 12" PowerBook.]
