Use the SMC2621W-U print server with OS X Apps
The SMC2621W-U print server is a small, cheap wireless print server with support for Windows and AppleTalk printing. At least that's what it says, but I have never gotten it to work correctly with OS X using these protocols. To use it with OS X (I'm currently on 10.4.6), follow these steps:
  1. Make sure that your Wireless Lan is set up correctly. Also make sure that you can reach your SMC print server using your web browser.
  2. You need to know the IP address of your print server. The print server has the option to obtain a dynamic address through DHCP. For the following to work, it needs a fixed address however. So you either have to configure the DHCP server to always give the print server the same address, or you must configure the print server to use a static address.
  3. Once you have set up the IP address of the print server, go to System Preferences on your computer and select Print & Fax.
  4. Click on the small "+" button below the list of installed printers. At the top of the window that pops up there is a button "IP Printers". Click that.
  5. Select 'Line Printer Daemon - LPD' from the protocol drop down list.
  6. Enter the IP of your print server into the Address text field.
  7. Enter L1 as the queue name.
  8. Enter the name and location of the printer. You can choose whatever you want (e.g. Laserjet 1200 and Conference room).
  9. Select the printer manufacturer and model.
  10. Now click 'Add.'
That's it. At least it worked for me. Anyways, good luck with this -- took me some time to get this device to work with OS X.

As far as I can tell these are pretty much standard instructions to set up any wireless print server. The one thing which can change is the name of the queue. If your server has a parallel and usb port, then for a USB printer you have to use L2. I had bookmarked some random pages with these intructions:
http://www.usr.com/support/5436/5436-ug/eleven.html
for a Robotics printserver and
http://risckybabble.org/archives/2005/05/10/Update
for the WPS54GU2 print server

Ya -- I've pretty much used the same procedure for other routers.

But it's worth pointing out what I think is the big stumbling point -- the printer set-up uses LPD and not (as I would have expected) IPP. Everytime I add a new computer to my network, it takes me a couple tries to remember that I don't want IPP.

Yes, these are standard instructions. I think the valuable information in this is that you cannot use this particular device with Windows printing or Appletalk services, even though it is supposed to support these.
