Tiger only hintAt last, iSync has support for the Nokia Series 40 operating system (OS), but not all phones have been added. This is, though, quite easy to do yourself. (This is based on another hint posted about the Series 60 phones.)

First of all, check what edition of series 40 OS you have. I have a Nokia 7370, and it has the 3rd edition. You'll need this info to update the plug-in file...

  1. Go to /Applications -> iSync.app -> Contents -> PlugIns -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> PlugIns -> PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources. (From Finder, use Shift-Command-G, for Go to Folder.)
  2. Open upp MetaClasses.plist in your favorite text editor.
  3. Search for series40 and find a phone with the same edition as yours. Mine was 6280, and had this string -- family.com.nokia.series40.3rdEd.bus.bt. Note the 3rdEd, which matches my phone's OS.
  4. Copy the phone's entry (everything from <key>com.nokia.6280</key> to the </dict> end tag) and paste it just before the next phone's <key> tag.
  5. Change all model entries to your phone's model number. In my case, that was all 6280 to 7370.
  6. Be sure to copy the phone's tiff file also. NOK6280.tiff to NOK7370.tiff. You can change this image later if you want to.
Remove any parings, and re-do with your phone, and Voila! You should be able to sync with iSync. Good luck!
