Drag and drop Entourage calender items to iCal Apps
I couldn't find anything about this online, but it might be old news. I found out that I can drag and drop calendar items from the Entourage calendar view right into my iCal window. I tried dragging to the icon of iCal, and that didn't seem to work.

The other small problem with this method is that when you do drop an item onto iCal, it becomes an hour long by default -- so you'll have to adjust it accordingly. The nice part is that all the information from the item is brought over.

Drag to Ical icon with ...

You can drag an Entourage calendar item onto the iCal icon (on the Dock or in the Finder) by holding the command and option keys. (Recall that this is the key combination that forces an app to open a file.) ICal starts (if not already running) and prompts you for the calendar to which the event should be added.

Or enable sync with new Entourage

Or you can turn on synchronisation between the new Entourage and iCal... That way it automagically synchronizes all (if desired).

The new version of Entourage (11.2.3) contains automatic synchronisation
with iCal, Address book and .Mac.

But: when I import a .vcs or .ics file, this goes into iCal, but doesn't sync with Entourage automatically, unless you put the item into the calendar in iCal named "Entourage".
You can also move any iCal item that doesn't sync with Entourage into the iCal calendar named "Entourage" to force this into Entourage as well.

Another nice (rather obvious) side effect: you can double click any .ics or .vcs in Finder to import it both into iCal and Entourage by selecting the
target calendar named "Entourage".
