With every new Mac, I just copied my iTunes library to the new computer and I was set.
So now, because of some missing music files, I wanted to recreate my music library. But when exporting the whole library, I always got an error when reimporting the XML file. iTunes told me that an unknown error occured (-50), but it imported 816 songs.
So, after trying some other stuff, I looked into the XML file. Every song has its own ID, starting with 38 (don't know why it doesn't start with 0?). So I took a look at the song with the ID 854 (816 + 38), and found some strange characters in the name of the song. By replacing those incorrect characters, iTunes imported the library, and now I have a new and clean library.
