Not a hint by me, but I thought this information on how to get Windows Media (WMV) videos to play, using Flip4Mac, on an Intel Mac should be shared.
[robg adds: The essence of the tip is as follows:
- Set the Apple Installer, in Application/Utilities, to run in Rosetta.
- Run the Flip4Mac installation program.
- Revert the Apple Installer to non-Rosetta mode.
- Set QuickTime Player to run in Rosetta mode.
With these changes, Flip4Mac should now install and be able to handle WMV files. I tested it on the mini, and it works as described, though running QuickTime in Rosetta isn't ideal. You may wish to toggle it back to Universal when you're not viewing WMV files. There are more details provided at the above link.]
