Using Aperture to create beautiful web albums Apps
One of the greatest things in Aperture, besides getting to organize and edit your photographs, is that you can publish to a web page.

To do this, first select the album you would like on the web. Next, click on the Add Web Gallery button. From here, you can choose your theme and other settings. Once you're finished, just click on the Export to .Mac button, and then it's all done for you.

But you don't need .Mac to publish. Instead, click on the Export Web Pages button next to the .Mac Publish button. What this will do is generate HTML documents with all the images. You can then use any server you like to host the album.

That is very cool, but since Aperture is a "pro" level tool, it would be nicer if it came with a way to generate a web store of the pictures or even just played really nice with third-party packages that did that - right out of the box.

Windows because I have to. OS X because I want to.

Sounds good - anyone have a link to their Aperture created web album?
I've been using iWeb to create my photo album, and while I like the drag-n-drop simplicity of it, publishing it without .mac is a royal pain - when you export, it exports the whole site, every time - even pages and albums that haven't changed, making for a huge upload when I want to put it on my webspace...

Great tip. I'm not sure how you're doing your transfers, but you may want to try using rsync, a utility for transfering file sets between remote hosts. rsync provides the ability to transferonly those files that have changed between the two. Here the link -

Isn't rsync already installed? I have on my computer (10.4.5).
