Ever since I bought my HP Color LaserJet 1500, I have been disappointed and frustrated by its unwillingness to print some things. On some documents, I would hit the Print button, the print light on the printer would blink once, and then it would go back to its nap.
Today I figured out how to change that. I read a comment on a Linux newsgroup which stated that sometimes you had to manually change the paper size, because the printer wouldn't accept the default US size. This reminded me of a problem with the Classic version of Nisus Writer, in which you had to select Page Setup and change the Scale value to something other than 100%.
So I chose a scale of 99% on the document I was having trouble printing and voila, it worked!
