Choose a video thumbnail for iTunes 6 videos Apps
I just stumbled into this new iTunes function when watching a video podcast.

If you wish to change the reference frame shown by iTunes in the Videos section of iTunes (and, possibly, on your brand new 5G iPod), just control-click (or right-click) any portion of the screen where the video is playing (be it the album art corner, or the dedicated video window), and choose "Set Poster Frame" from the pop-up menu. The currently displayed frame then becomes the standard iTunes thumbnail for that video!

You might want to pause the video in the right spot before doing this, but it also work on the fly.

[robg adds: Yes, this is a menu-item hint, but in a quick iChat survey this morning, not one person I asked knew about it (myself included), so I felt it was worth a mention.]

That is a good hint. I, for one, don't think it should matter if a hint is regarding a menu item or not. A good hint for my Mac is a good hint. Period.

Bring on the menu item hints!

I found this hint very useful and will support further links of this kind. If people already know about they can over-read it.

Anyway iTunes 6 is so fresh hardly anybody can know all hints.

If a hint can be a hinted hint, how many hints can hint at a hinted hint?
(sorry :P)

Ok, Lemmi just say this folks: the term right click is actually incorrect, and plain sounds too much like a PC user. The actual correct term is "Secondary click". Why? Well when instructing students, left handed students can easisly mix the term "right click" up. Thus Secondary click is truly the official term for the click. Now go forth mighty mac users and never have to use terms like "right click" again! Free yourself from the PC weenie terminoligy!! --Oh and cool hint toO! hahahahh LOL.

I bet for every student that's no longer confused by "right click", there's at least one who double-clicks when you say that.

Great hint, but it does not work on video's from iTunes Music Store :(
They seems to be proteceted - to much :)

Very annoying as the video's from Black eyed peas and the 3 video'es from Sinnead O'connors new album "throw down your arms" all just have black Thumbnails :(

But for the Wepon of Choice Music video they have been good to make a nice thumbnail :)
