Ok, so this is a very specialized hint. I'm currently studying Japanese, and use the EGbridge 15 software for Japanese input. The software is nice, but the menu is only in Japanese, and as I'm not fully fluent yet, this is a tiring thing for me ... so I localised the input menu in English.

No display on G5 but loud fan noise
The other day my daughter (adult) turned on my iMac (G5 20" 2.0 MHz) but after the start sound no picture appeared. Then the fans suddenly began to operate quite noisily.
Localize Egbridge15's input menu into English
I recently studied Japanese as well, but I didn't use any special software packages, I just configured my system to accept Japanese input (you can do that in the International config screen in system prefs).

What does egbridge do that the OSX right out of the box can't do?
