10.4: Auto-scroll in Firefox with the Mighty Mouse Web Browsers
Tiger only hintSome people have complained that the new Mighty Mouse lacks the functionality to perform an "auto-scroll" akin to what's available on the Windows platform. I stumbled across this while checking out the modifier keys that you can apply to mouseclicks to get more functionality.

Go into Firefox (I'm using the new beta version 1.5). Hold the option key and click the third button on the Mighty Mouse (i.e. the scroll ball button), and the cursor morphs into an auto scroll icon.

Please note that if you have option-mouse3 assigned to something in the Dashboard/Exposť section of System Preferences, this will not work.

I don't know if you need to hold down the option key at all. I am able to get the auto-scroll cursor in firefox 1.5 beta without pressing it.
