Tiger only hintIn Safari, after going to the RSS view, press Tab once. This selects the Article Length slider. You can now fine-tune article length by pressing Control-Up Arrow (increase) or Control-Down Arrow (decrease).

No new hint, just full keyboard access

This only works if "full keyboard access" is selected in the keyboard & mouse system prefs, which allows one to basically control every smallest widget and button using the keyboard, so it's no surprise that the article lenght slider can be controlled as well. So it's not really a new hint.

Or go to "Advanced" in Safari prefs and check "Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage". Otherwise, you have to press Option-Tab to highlight the slider.

This only applies to Safari v2

And, for completeness, once you have gone option-tab to get keyboard control of the slider, you use control-left arrow or control-down arrow to shift the slider to the left and the other two control-arrow keys to move it to the right.
