Objective Development have created a freeware extension bundle for Apple's XCode which adds functionality for making PHP development more comfortable. Currently implemented are a PHP system function lookup (including parameter hints) and a shortcut for looking up the PHP online help for a given function.

Just FYI... I'd like to point out that this sort of capability also exists within BBedit, Eclipse and probably in other text editors (TextMate, jEdit, Smultron, TextWrangler?). Regardless, you can use PHP Function Index as a convenient way to look up functions outside of any program and even offline. Becaused of its lack of a PHP debugger I personally don't see any reason to use Xcode over any other editor available. Certainly not over a real IDE like Eclipse.

For those of you seeking information above and beyond the aimless commentary of those driven by shallow emotion, Xcode is definitely a "real" IDE and makes a finely tuned, robust addition to any developers tool set.
PHP widgets
There are also a number of PHP reference widgets out there, including my PHP Function Reference, which includes a function lookup, some cheat sheets, and an interactive date format string tool.
