10.4: Use launchctl in interactive mode

Tiger only hintI don't know if this is common knowledge or not; I just accidentally discovered it. If you run launchctl without any options, you enter into a client mode similar to ftp, nslookup, etc.

You can then use all the normal commands (load, unload, start, stop, etc.) interactively. There's no "quit" or "exit" command, though, so you need to hit Control-C to exit.

[robg adds: You'll want to run this with sudo to see system-owned tasks; the list command will most likely be empty for your user, unless you've done some tweaking of your own.]
