Set iPhoto5 image preview size via icons Apps
This isn't documented in the iPhoto 5 help anywhere but, I just happened to click the tiny picture frame icon in the bottom right corner of the main iPhoto window, and noticed that it instantly zoomed my selected picture up to full size. This is does not take you to edit mode; you are still in viewing mode. The small icon at the left edge of the size slider similarly instantly choooses the smallest icon view.

This 'clicking the icon to goto the end of the slider' trick works everywhere in apple's apps I think.

Certainly does with the iTunes volume as well.

You can also try key 0, 1 and 2 to change between sizes. "2" displays the images in a "un-scaled" (?) size, and makes iPhoto a bit snappier...

Hey, that's really cool. This should have been a hint. Or maybe it was? Dunno.

"2" works really ace, speeds up iPhoto big time for me.
"0", however, is crashing it instantly.

Anyone knows what's going on?
