10.4: Use a Save As shortcut for smart folders Desktop
Tiger only hintI was just working a second ago and I pressed the Option key while I was doing a Spotlight finder search. When I did so, the Save button (by the plus sign) turned into a Save As button.

This seems like a much faster way to modify an existing smart folder into a similar but different new one.

I don't understand this one. The popup-menu is exactly the same. Or didn't I just get the point?

Hey, i submitted this one, should have been more explicit. This is only for when you have done a "spotlight search" or when you are inside a smart folder. once you start typing something in the spotlight search in a finder window, the plus sign and a "save" button both appear.

Say you have a smart folder that looks for all your movie files, the defualt is just to save the exsisting folder if you make any changes to the search criterea. However, if you go into that exsisting folder, and hold down "option", the save will turn into a "save as", meaning you could just add a secondary search critera, and quickly save it as a new smart folder.
