Control hard drives' sleep interval and polling

After installing CHUD (included in the Developer Tools), I found in a tiny utility called SpindownHD, located in /Developer -> Applications -> Performance Tools -> CHUD -> Hardware Tools folder. This useful program allows you to adjust hard disks' sleep and polling intervals, plus to see the status of the disks (Active, Idle, or Sleep).

[robg adds: I'd missed this well-buried utility, too. It allows more control over drive sleep than does Energy Saver, which offers simply on or off. I've set the sleep to 20 minutes, up from the default of 10.]
