10.4: Another Safari/QuickTime save movie tip

After updating to Tiger I soon realised that I could no longer "save" those embeded movie I so cherish to collect even after updating to Quicktime Pro. And apparently, I'm not alone.
I might have found a workaround. Although I can't tell for the non-Pro version, this works for me in QuickTime 7 Pro:
- Click the link to play your movie.
- When the movie appears and starts playing, "drag and drop" the movie on your Desktop. This should create a file called "Movie Clipping $" (this file is a link to the actual movie).
- Now double-click "Movie Clipping $," and QuickTime should reload or open the movie.
- Check to see if you can save your movie using File -> Save as. If not, go to the next step.
- Select the whole movie using the IN and OUT brackets (on the timeline, this is the two shapes below the reversed current frame triangle). Now copy your selection (Command-C).
- Create a new player with File -> New Player.
- Paste (Command-V) and your movie should appear.
- Save your new acquisition using File -> Save as, and set it to be a self-contained movie.
I wonder if this could be automated ... I hope this helps!
