10.4: Extract Tracks in QuickTime 7 Pro Apps
Tiger only hintThis is not a hint, strictly speaking, but it may save you some time.

Immediately after installing Tiger, I purchased a new QuickTime Pro license. After registering, I was mildly shocked to realise that one of my most frequently used features, Extract/Disable Track, was missing. Alas, it isn't, it just moved. It's now in the brand-new Show Movie Properties window. This window has a lot of improvements in the area of usability, by the way. Adding annotations e.g. is a breeze, compared to prior versions of the QuickTimePlayer.

This hint should not be flagged at 10.4 only, as QT 7 is also on 10.3.9 and functions in the same manner.

I am so upset with QT7 Pro. They eliminated the ability to change individual MIDI track instruments! I wish I could get my money back on QT7, but Apple will not let you--you are stuck!
