Tiger only hintI discovered the easiest way yet to get eBooks on your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) after installing Tiger.

  1. Choose any book from gutenberg.org that has an HTML version.
  2. Select Page Setup in Safari and choose a custom paper size of 3.78in x 6.66in, then select Print from the File menu.
  3. Select "Save PDF to iPhoto" from the Save as PDF pop-up menu.
  4. When iPhoto opens up, you're presented with a dialog asking you to choose the album to import into, or to create a new one. This dialog seems to always pop up *behind* iPhoto, so you may have to look for it. Create a new album for your eBook.
  5. In your album, select all of your eBook images, rotate the pictures once, counter-clockwise, then use the Share feature to export them to .jpg at 480 x 272. Make sure to "Use Album Name" when exporting.
  6. Move the entire folder over to your PSP via USB into the Images directory on your memory stick.
  7. On the PSP, open the first image and rotate your PSP to read it. Use the top right trigger to turn the page forward.
Voila! You may want to tweak the HTML first to optimize the text for viewing, but usually that just means adding a font-size and font-family attribute to the styles, and lots of those Gutenberg texts are already very nicely formatted.

[robg adds: If someone sends me a PSP, I'll give this one a thorough test :) ...]
