Open Mail URLs in a background browser Apps
In Mail.app, if you hold the command key down and click a URL, the page will open in your preferred browser in the background, without becoming the active application.

This is great when viewing those versiontracker.com mails.

It works if you have "Do Not" have Tabs enabled.

I could not get this to work using 10.3.9 (is this Tiger-only?) and OmniWeb. Command-clicking on a link in a nonHTML email opened the link twice in OW.

If anyone figures out how to get this to work, please post it; I think many people have long been waiting for this feature.

Fantastic, thanks. I've been cursing the default behaviour for ages.

Nup, it doesn't work in HTML email but I just found that with any link therein Control-Click (for those with one button) or Right-Click (for those able to use two fngers in tandem ;-) will bring up the cotextual menu with the option "Open Link behind Mail"

As far as I can tell, using Safari and Mail in 10.3.9 this is a Tiger only hint
