Here is how to get some basic support for the Nokia 9300 in iSync in 10.4. This should work for all SyncML/Series 80 phones, however, it was only tested under the 9300.
- Open a Terminal window.
- Use sudo to become root.
- Change into this directory using cd: /Applications: iSync.app: Contents: PlugIns: ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice: Contents: PlugIns: PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin: Contents: Resources
- Make a copy of an existing image file: cp NOKNGAGE.tiff NOK9300.tiff. Any file would do, as long as iSync can find a file ... if anyone makes a 9300 icon, please send-it over!
- Edit MetaClasses.plist and add this section of code to the file.
- Quit iSync if it's open, and delete any existing 9300 pairing.
- Run the BluetTooth Discover Assistant again and add the phone, making sure to check the iSync option.
- Open isync, and run a sync; it will display an error asking you to upload the "AppleSyncAgent." Once it's on the phone, install the app from the messages, and it will add an iSync Config icon on the desk (for obvious reasons, the app will not run on the series 80).
- Run iSync, and enjoy the new data on your phone.
