I couldn't get this printer to print using the Samsung drivers. So I then used the Xerox Phaser 6100 drivers, which is the same printer, and they worked fine.

My new CLP-510 (same printer with networking card installed, I think) worked fine out of the box with the CD drivers, but it's nice to know of alternate solutions just in case.

I have a CLP-510N and it does not work via the BonJour setup or ipp. Printer Setup Utility finds the printer via BonJour and recognizes it as a CLP-510 (after I installed the driver), but when I print cupsd is unable to find "myprinter.local" via mdns (had to turn on cups debugging in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.

Well, I tried using the driver for the Xerox Phaser 6100 which worked for a little while, then I started getting the error "Process "Rastophaser6100" terminated unexpectedly "Signal 10". Now I'm using the Samsung CLP-510 driver which is still on their website under Tiger and it's printing fine with all features.

Thank you ever so much!! I have a CLP-500 and was about to give it up as lost for lack of a driver that would work under Tiger. Now I can print from my new G5 thanks to you, after getting the CLP-510 driver.

hi all,
i had no trouble with this printer with 10.6: downloaded the official Samsung driver (v3.00) from http://www.samsung.com/us/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=CLP-500, installed, all worked fine including changing the DPI settings. no access to the Duplex settings though.
