I'm a Windows programmer by day, and a Mac user by night. So when I had to leave work suddenly to take care of a sick family member, it left me in the position of having to use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Client (RDC) to my laptop at the office.
I set RDC to full screen mode, which blocked everything on the Mac display. But then I used Exposé to get to all the Mac applications I had running. I couldn't be happier with this setup -- Exposé completely hid the full-screen RDC connection when activated. So when I hit the All Windows button (F9 on the keyboard, or button three on my mouse), I could get to Entourage, Safari, and the rest of my Mac apps.
I don't know if it is much of a hint, but I'll certainly be using RDC in full-screen mode again in the future.
