Use Fetch Art and an AppleScript for iTunes artwork Apps
Fetch Art (VersionTracker info) is working again with iTunes 4.7.1 (with OSX 10.3.7). I used to use it a lot to update my album artwork, but it stopped working when iTunes 4.5 came out -- it started scanning the entire current playlist instead of just the selected tracks.

I tried it by chance today and it works again! Fetch Art, together with Douglas Adams' Find Songs Without Artwork script, takes all the pain out of updating the artwork of your iTunes library. For Fetch Art to work well, the tags for all the songs should be correct ... and that's where ieatbrainz comes in really handy (much better than a plain CDDB lookup).

Thanks for mentioning Find Songs Without Artwork. However, I am not the author. That honor goes to Marc Friedenberg.

That is plain weird. No matter, would the real developer please step forward? I am guessing that development of this thing was dropped, but maybe someone knows...

One can also find some copies of Fetch Art 1.1.1 by googling for "fetchart_1.1.1.dmg".

If you can't find Fetch Art, Find Album Artwork with Google is the second most popular downloaded script at my site.

ShowCDCover

This app downloads the cover art and displays it. It stores it on the drive so only has to download it once. It's a little bit buggy (dont' quit iTunes when it's running), but works reasonably well.

Too lazy to do a tinyurl for it right now...

I put the DMG file in a public file sharing site for download:

http://rapidshare.de/files-en/512357/fetchart_1.1.1.dmg.html

After installing, it will show erros the first time it is run, but seems to work fine after that. ;)

Cheers!

Here is a direct link to the file on my iDisk so you don't have to read that crazy German site. http://homepage.mac.com/nick.vance/files/fetchart_1.1.1.dmg
