Rotate images in Preview in very fine steps Apps
Using Preview to look at pictures today, I discovered that not only can you rotate them 90 degrees in either direction, but you can also rotate them by much smaller increments. Hold Option while pressing the rotate buttons to have much more control over the amount the picture is rotated.

[robg adds: If you haven't done so yet, you'll have to Control-click on the toolbar, select Customize Toolbar, and add the Rotate Left and Rotate Right buttons. Once you've started Option-rotating by fine steps, I'm not aware of any quick way to get it back to zero degrees.]

Guess you'll have to 'Close' & 'Discard changes'

I would suspect that 'undo'--d'oh! there isn't one! erm... never mind. I guess we're stuck with 'Close' the file, then click the 'Discard changes' button, then re-open the file.

You can just choose 'Customize Toolbar' for Preview's View menu to add the left & right rotation buttons...

Works with Zoom, too

Cool tip! What's even better is that it works with the Zoom function too. This is really handy when viewing PDFs, so you can adjust it to the size of your screen.

Loads of fun!

Here I am, rotating my 4 page telephone bill... All the thumbnails spin around like synchronised swimmers...

Haven't had so much fun with a Mac in ages.
