Open files in the trash can (revisited)

You can open a file placed in the trash can by going to the Open dialog (usually Command-O) of the application you want to open the file with, and then using the shortcut for "Go to folder..." (Command-Shift-G). In the form that just popped up, type ~/.Trash, and you will see and be able to select the files in the trash supported by the application.

A previous hint, which suggested to open those files from the Finder by control-clicking and using the "Open with..." contextual menu item, was broken with 10.3.

[robg adds: You can also drag and drop an item from the trash onto a docked application that's capable of opening it, and it will open up. This was suggested in the comments to the above-referenced hint as well.]
