MailMan -- Multiple mail lists for virtual hosts OS X Server
I have a couple of virtual domain hosted on my OS X server box, and wanted those domains to be able to host their own mailing list. So after much searching on the Internet, here are the config changes for mailman:
POSTFIX_STYLE_VIRTUAL_DOMAINS = ['www.virthost1.org',
  'www.virhost2.com'] add_virtualhost('www.virhost1.org',
  'mxholderforvirthost.org') add_virtualhost('www.virhost2.com',
  'mxholderforvirthost2.com')
The above should be on one long line. After making the changes, just type
./usr/share/mailman/bin/genaliases
And restart mailman.

Just a couple of footnotes for people new to mailman, those additional configuration lines should go into /usr/share/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py

I've used this hint and everything so far seems to work fine, however the link to the list archives which should be something like:

www.virtualdomain.com/pipermail/listname/

seems to be written like

host.domain.com/pipermail/listname

Other than that one link all URLs seem to be correctly linked to the virtualhost.

Just a typo in a domain name. When it couldn't resolve the domain name due to the typo it appears it just reverted back to the host.domain name.

Would this be the same on a system using exim?
i noticed the line added to the config had "POSTFIX_STYLE_VIRTUAL_DOMAINS =..."
I am wondering if this will work on Postfix only or would it work with Exim as well?

One more tip too. Create the new mailing lists from mailman's website admin site, not the Server Admin application so that it picks up the correct domain info.
