Easily duplicate Safari bookmarks Web Browsers
Could not find this posted elsewhere and may not be useful to most, but was useful to me.

When you are in the bookmarks manager of safari and need to copy a bookmark I noticed that you can option drag a link to duplicate it anywhere. I have my bookmarks seperated in appropriate folders and when working on a script for a website it can be irritating to search through them all the time. This is when I drag the duplicate to my bar and use it until the script is finished being designed and tested.

Isn't "Option-drag" the common way to copy something in OS X?

Sorry, as I am a windows convert using the mac for only the last year, I am not sure of what is normal or standard. I am used to using right click or option click and getting a menu, this gives no menu and if you do not drag it does nothing to let you know duplicating is possible.

Thanks

No need to be sorry at all!
I'm sorry if I made you feel you had to be sorry. ;)

Glad you joined the mac side.
I really think Apple should expose more all the features, shortcuts, etc. There's a lot of undocumented stuff.
I'm using macs for more than 10 years now and I still discover "obvious" ways to do things that I never thought of...

BTW, Alt + drag works on almost everything that can be dragged and copied, even with text.

Another obvious option is to show all bookmarks (Cmd+Alt+B) and use Cmd+C to copy and Cmd+V to paste.
