After updating my G4 from OS X 10.2.8 to OS X 10.3.5 all the sudden my Epson scanner (Epson Perfection 3200 Photo) wouldn't work in Photoshop 7. Normally I used the TWAIN plug in. But now Photoshop just crashed or I got this message:
"Could not complete the Import command because of a problem with the acquisition module interface".
I went to the Epson site and updated with its newest TWAIN driver. But still it didn't work -- apparently even after the new driver was installed, the old plug-in was still interfering. This fixed the problem: Going directly into the Photoshop application folder, deleting the TWAIN plug-in, and reinstalling one more time the newest driver. It was so simple that I can't believe I spent hours talking to Epson and Photoshop tech support -- and having both tell me that the other party is responsible for these kind of problems. I feel silly posting this, but maybe this saves some time for someone else.
