- Pair the phone and your computer
- Open Bluetooth Serial Utility (/Applications -> Utilities -> Bluetooth Serial Utility.app)
- Click 'New'
- Enter the name 'Phone'
- Select 'outgoing'
- Open 'select device', choose your phone's name on the left and 'Dialup Networking' on the right
- Click 'select'
- Make sure 'Port Type' is set to Modem, and none of the checkboxes are selected
- Quit Bluetooth Serial Utility
- Click 'New'
- Open System Preferences
- Open the Network pane
- A dialog should say that a new port was detected; click ok
- Drop down the 'Show' list, select 'Phone'
- As the telephone number, enter '*99***2#'
- Click on 'PPP Options'
- Deselect 'Send PPP Echo Packets'
- Deselect 'Use TCP Header Compression'
- Click 'OK'
- Go to the 'Modems' tab
- Deselect the two checkboxes
- Make sure Dialing is set to Tone
- Select 'Ericsson Infrared' for the Modem dropdown.
- Select 'Show modem status in menu bar'
- Select 'Apply Now'
- Exit from System Prefs
- On the phone, go to the 'Connect' item in the main menu
- Go to Data Comm -> Data Accounts -> AWS Data -> Edit -> APN
- Enter 'proxy', then exit out of all the menus.
- Click on the modem icon on the menu bar (make sure 'Phone' is selected as opposed to 'Internal Modem') and click Connect.
