I was surprised to find that just pulling the icon down a bit, then releasing it, does exactly the same thing (at least on 10.3.5 and Camino 0.8b). This doesn't work in Safari, though.

I have set up a bunch of folders on Camino's Bookmarks toolbar, and I like to load all the pages at once -- I had been using a control-click on the folder and then selecting Open in New Tabs.

Open Camino bookmark folders in tabs via a nudge
An easier and more elegant solution is to go to the bookmarks manager and 'get info' on the folder in question. Then check that box that says 'Tab Group' and that will make the folder open up all links in tabs with single click.

oh and one more way to do the same thing is to open all the sites you want to bookmark in tabs, then go to 'Bookmarks' and 'Add Page to Bookmarks' , when the sheet slides down, be sure to check the box 'Bookmark All Tabs' and it will also create a single click folder that will open all in tabs.
Open Camino bookmark folders in tabs via a nudge
This behavior has always drived me nuts w/r/t Camino - I use a Wacom tablet and pen due to some pretty nasty RSI, and often when I click on one of Camino's personal toollbar folders to open it, it's accidentally dragged just slightly into thw window.
This causes all of the bookmarks in that folder to open in tabs, often crashing Camino - I have lots of bookmarks. :) I really wish they would lower the drag tolerance, but ah well. I'm mostly an Omniweb user these days, anyway... |
