Quit and restart to update some preferences Apps
Did you know that the Address's preference for "Display Order (First name / last name)" (and probably others) used by (and possibly other email clients) only comes into effect within after you've quit and restarted

This is a bit astonishing since the display order in Address is updated immediately after the change (it's not even necessary to close the Preferences window), and it should be easy for to update this, as it already reads from the up-to-date address book file every time you have it parse an address book entry. Since it doesn't, though, you'll have to quit and restart Mail to see the changes take effect.

I stumbled accross this odd behaviour while looking for a way to change the name order in email addresses in, while keeping the display order in Address the same. I didn't find a solution, do you know any?

What a coincidence!

I discovered this myself just last night as I was showing my wife how to edit group preferences in Address Book. She has a nagging problem that I just can't solve; when she calls up the address panel in Mail, she can't drag the very first group in the list anywhere, but all the other groups can be dragged. Anyone have an idea what's happening?
