Undo cleared downloads in Safari Web Browsers
I wanted to remove one item from Safari's Downloads window, so I tried the "Clear" button -- only to find that it cleared ALL items in the Downloads window.

So I tried Command-Z (or Undo from Safari's Edit menu) and found that it will restore the cleared items. Yippee!

It does not, however seem to store multiple levels of undo, at least not for me. I tried deleting two things, consecutively, then Undoing twice. Only the last thing deleted was restored.

To delete a single item from Safari download window, just Control-click on the item and select Remove from list.

If you want the URL of a past download, that option is available as well.

I had always assumed that if you selected one or more items in the downloads list and then clicked "Clear" that only the highlighted items would be deleted. I see I was mistaken.

Thanks for the Undo tip.

Easy way to remove a single download

Something I've wondered about, and then found that it's actually rather easy (by accident of course).

Just select the download you want and hit the backspace key (anyone else noticed how sometimes you forget this really 'obvious' way of deleting something).

And the Command-Z still replaces a single download
