If you ship items through eBay or Paypal, you'll find that both IE and Safari can't print shipping labels through each site's shipping program.

The last time I sold on eBay (around Christmas), I had no issues printing the PayPal shipping labels with whatever build of Safari was current at the time...

I've never had a problem printing shipping labels out of PayPal or eBay using Safari either.

I use Swordfish Express (versiontracker) to print mine. Granted, the postage is not paid (you have to go to PO or whatever) but it creates great labels with tracking info.

I think what the original hint/post was referring to was the use of the Print JavaScript code. You see this a lot of times built into the web page; similar to "Close Window".
I've often had problems w/ this functionality in Safari but the latest build has improved upon it. Not perfect... it prints usually half the time, but before, I could never get Safari to perform this script.

i printed labels from safari via ebay and ups. did three of them about a month ago and another three about three months ago. no major issues.

I am not talking about "Create Printeable Packing Slip" , I am Talking about printing a Paid Shipping label from the US Postal Service , that uses "Pitney Bowes" system. You can not print this using IE or Safari.

I was trying to print a prepais USPS label just last night. In Safari and Camino the Java applet would not initialize. Is this hint saying that it will work with Firefox and/or Mozilla?

Funny, I didn't have any trouble getting Safari to print labels, either... but interestingly, Safari scales the image slightly, making it look fuzzy, and I'm not sure if the Post Office's barcode scanners are going to like this. For this reason, I ended up using a Mozilla based browser.

I tried with the latest Panther Safari and no luck. It kept printing up the "sample" across the label wether or not the pop-up blocker was enabled or not. |
