You want to fax documents with your Bluetooth-enabled Mac and GSM? This works great for me, so read on:
Preparation
- Open "Bluetooth Serial Utility" in the Applications/Utilities-folder.
- Press the New-button, fill in an appropriate name like "FaxNokia6600".
- Select Outgoing for Port Direction.
- Select the (already paired) Bluetooth device with the, let me guess, "Select Device..."-button. If you want, select Authentication or Encryption checkboxes.
- Set Port Type to Modem.
- Okay the settings and quit the application.
Usage- Use the Print-button, and select "Fax...".
- Select the appropriate modem (e.g. "FaxNokia6600") from the list, fill in the blanks and you're off faxing.
Notes:
There's a default "Bluetooth-Modem" model created, but it is not paired to my GSM so it doesn't work. Any ideas how I can make my model the Default one? (Like you can do with Printers)
