10.3: Workaround an error in the Tomcat documentation UNIX
After a few hours of R&D, I came to discover a mistake in the Apache Jakarta Project setup documentation which ships on Macs with Panther pre-installed. After following the setup instructions, it incorrectly states that browsing on port 8080 would yield:
If you're seeing this page via a web browser, it means you've setup Tomcat successfully. Congratulations!
In my case, it was port 9006 which I found after viewing the log file, which itself was in an odd place on my system: the path to the "catalina.out" file is /Library -> Logs -> JBoss -> catalina.out.

Also your LogFile is not the same I have (mine prints ../jakarta-tomcat/logs).

There is a big difference between JBoss and the Jacarta Project.
