View any number of individual days in iCal Apps
You can view two days at a time in iCal by typing command-option-2, three days by typing command-option-3, and so on, up to seven days. I discovered this because I tried to assign command-option-1 to Window -> iCal in the Keyboard preference pane, and it wouldn't let me.

[robg adds: I checked the Keyboard Shortcuts list for iCal, and I didn't see these listed, so I think they're undocumented...]

That's an incredibly useful feature of iCal not to be documented! Very cool.

Neat. I notice something quirky. Command-Option-1, -2, -3, -4, and -6 place today's date at the beginning of the calendar screen, but Command-Option-5 and -7 don't.

In other words, for 1-4 and 6, the effect seems to be "Show the next x days"; for 5, "Show the work week"; and for 7, "Show the full week."

Further, it doesn't necessarily reflect the current work week (today's) or the current 2, 3, etc. days. A nice hidden feature though; I was just trying to do this earlier today. Low and behold, it shows up on macoshints.

Clicking on the Week button always shows 7 days, however.

it would appear that cmd-alt-crtl-6 displays six days, then press the combination again, and the last day of that six day view becomes the first day of the next six day view. this gets over that whole problem of trying to migrate a batch of events from the end of a week to a new week, without switching to month view.
Its implementation is not 100% however, a couple of times it refused to play nice, but switching to another app and then back again to ical got it going again. just a fyi.
cheers
dd
